Your use of bean, including a bean+ subscription, is covered by Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store.
Your coffees
The coffees, ratings and notes in bean are the ones you add. The few example coffees in the catalogue were written by us.
Label reading
Text on a bag photo is read on your device with Apple’s Vision framework. When it can’t recognise the roaster or read the coffee name, OpenAI reads a smaller copy of the photo.
Readings can be wrong, so check the details before you add a coffee.
Coach suggestions
The dial-in coach suggests changes from general brewing rules. They’re a starting point, not a guarantee: taste, and adjust to your coffee and kit.

Read the privacy policy for what bean stores on your device and what it shares.
